Simba,
The Boy Prince and the Heir to the Pridelands is dead, his body found torn and broken in the deeper recesses of the Gorge, not far from the King's corpse, the dynasty all but destroyed by a bout of bad fortune...
oh endless night;

Endless Night is a literate, intermediate level LionKing RPG, set in an alternate universe where Simba died alongside his father, and the Pride, as well as the rest of Mufasa's kingdom are left to fend for themselves under the reign of King Scar.

This is Kairos. Endless Night is under new management and is under an attempt to get back on it's feet...er, paws. We would appreciate any opinions and welcome new members with open arms, wings, hoofs...you get the idea. Many canon characters are still open for the taking, and even noncanon characters will be welcome in the plot.

I'm sorry for my extended absence guys, in the rush I forgot about this place. I'm going to try to pick up the pieces that I damaged when I left.
Apologies, and thanks to Kairos for waking me up.

The basic site construction has been completed, all that remains is the canon list and a few other minor intricacies. Advertising has begun, please help out by telling your friends and posting an ad or link (respecting the site's wishes of course) on any Lionking forums/clubs/chats if you can and begin working on your character applications =3.
THE RPG IS OPEN! *rawr*
Welcome to Endless Night!

Created three skins, Under the Stars (blue), Shadowy Place(brown, default), and Menagerie (Rainbow). Special thanks to DIW for help with getting the logo image the right color.
The rules have been put up, as well as the biography form, help with a canon character list (including all TLK6NA characters possible for the time period) is requested.
I'm working on creating boards and getting affiliates and documentations in order.

The Watering Hole (2 sub-boards) An all purpose OOC board, complete with mindless chatter, an art board and a place to post absence excuses. Moderator: Nia
A Turn of the Circle (1 sub-board) As all of our ancestors become to stars to watch over us, the completed or dead threads and characters go here so we can still refer to them whenever we desire. Some threads are completed and now considered canon, while others are not.
Pride Rock (4 sub-boards) The symbol of strength, a congregation place for all the denizens of the kingdom, and the home of the rulers of this land, the Pridelanders, Pride Rock towers over the surrounding Savannah and climbs to heights taller than the tree's, it has many rock formations surrounding it, and a hollowed foundation that serves as shelter that only the Prideland lions have the luxury of using to their advantage.
The Baobab Also known as the Tree of Life, the Baobab has been here long before the lions and usually caters to the home of the Shaman for the Pride, whoever it may be.
At the moment Rafiki resides here, denoting the history and generations on his tree. Recently the images of Mufasa, then of Simba have been faded and passed over by a saddened hand.

Northern Savannah (1 sub-board) The northern Savannah of the Pridelands once had a magnificent lushness that is now beginning to fade and grow brittle, it is grazed over mostly by sable antelopes and herds of Zebra, it is intersected by a river infested with crocodiles and adders where the Pridelands territory ends.

Watering Hole If there is a cosmopolitan area in the Pridelands, this is it. The place is always busy and bursting with crowds of animals, drinking bathing and talking amongst themselves. Usually the watering hole denotes an uneasy truce, but sometimes the truce is broken by whim, so there is indeed safety in numbers.

Bushland Around an acre or so of the Pridelands is shaded in a heavy network of small trees, bushes, brambles and tall grass.
Smaller animals take shelter here, while the large ones manage to stalk them and take shade from the burning sun.
There is however the dangerous possibility of getting lost or consumed by one of the serphents that lurk amidst the undergrowth, thus cubs are usually not permitted to wander here alone.

Southern Savannah (1 sub-board) The southern Pridelands are home to more dangerous denizens, Water Buffalo, Wildebeest and rhinos frequent the area and lots of badger sets and rat nests exist tangled among the tall grasses.
Elephants migrate through here normally to get to the Shadowy Places which are beyond this border.

The Gorge A huge crevice carved into the earth makes up an enourmous sandy depression, hard sheer cliffs glare down at the dusty darkness below. High on a plateau, herds of Wildebeest come to graze.
A broken treebranch is the only evidence left that a Great King and a small innocent cub died here.

Muhato's Hill These are really little more than slight ascensions on the open Savannah, though the area does have a unique quality to it, in that it's sandier, perhaps the very beginnings of the wide rolling desert beyond.
It is named after the Great King Muhato, who died nearby long ago.

Beyond the Pridelands
The Shadowy Places (2 sub-boards) The land where the light does not touch, and the home of hyenas, and a great deal other mysterious things, the area is rampant with networks of caves, steam vents and hot springs.
The River Chasm The river, which has humble beginnings on the Northern Border swells here and increases speed to something powerful and even majestic, pooling in enourmous ponds which shrink and swell with the seasons, it is the birthplace of hippos, birds, crocodiles, fish and many other animals that give the Pridelands life.
It 'ends' in a series of small but dangerous waterfalls and the sheer cliffs peek down at their vicious splashing from a safe distance. From there it trickles into a small stream.

The Desert The western border, marked by Muhato's hill branches out into a wide rolling desert where the ground is thirsty and barren, and the grass steadily withers away to nothing but hard packed dirt, scored with crevices where it has been broken. The land beyond the desert is truly a mystery to nearly any Pridelander you could think to ask.
