Although the sun has set, the lioness has refused to lay herself down for a nights slumber. Instead she paces the rock side, pausing here and there to test the dry air just for a hint of his scent. She had spent some 'alone time' if you may, just pondering life...and death of course. It was nice to get away for awhile, have a little vacation, but boredom got the best of her so she felt the need to return sooner than she expected.
What she didn't expect however, was the fact that Scar was no where in sight. Her golden eyes flicked about every surface and disected every shadow. Large paws shifting this way and that caused a poof of dust to rise about them. Her pace quickened with her agitation, jogging back and forth, making a path in the terrain. Exhaustion and frusturation, caused her to slow once more. She had been constantly traveling, but never far enough to be out of hearing distance if Scar were to call for his lioness'.
Her journies have been just as empty as this place looked. No food in sight, of course no water due to the nagging drought, and nothing but a tumble weed to cross her path. Although the night was quiet, her mind was the opposite. She just couldn't figure it out. Where was Scar? Where was her son, Nuka? What about Sarabi and the other huntresses? Pride Rock looked very much like the Elephant Graveyard at the moment, but of course it was lacking the bones. Still, the silence clung to the air like humidity before a rain. Rain, that's exactly what was needed around here, but as far as anyone could tell, it wasn't happening anytime soon. It's a shame that the herds moved on, Scar would never think about leaving the Pridelands now that they were his... or shall I say ours?
