.NIJU.
Niju was lying in the shadows of the Outlands, flicking the end of his tail idly as some irritating insect buzzed by his ear. He let out a little growl of irritation at the insect, though it wouldn't make a bit of different to the insect and wouldn't make it stop buzzing in Niju's ear. He yawned slightly and looked around, wondering where his mother and younger brother could be. It had been a long day for him today; he had wandered out on his own with one other cub his age by his side, a female of course, to practice hunting skills.
The cub stretched and rose to his paws, blue and gray eyes scanning across the area, still not spotting Shihara or Taabu. Where could they be? he wondered to himself again, deciding to wander about a bit to search for them. He flicked his ears, finally ridding himself of the annoying buzzing insect, and started towards the termite mounds. He moved about as graceful as a 6 month old cub could, his head hung a little low as he stalked towards the mounds, as it did whenever he had something on his mind. It was odd for his mother and younger brother to be gone for this long. Before Niju had gone out to practice with his little female friend, his mother had said that she and Taabu were going to go out towards the river so she could continue to teach him some beginner hunting skills.
As he stepped into the sun, he squinted his eyes, adjusting to the sudden exposure to the light. He tuned his ears forward a bit and lifted his head, hoping to catch Shihara or Taabu's scent, his brow knit together in slight concern as he kept stalking towards the termite mounds.
