.The Plot.
The setting is Kissimmee, Florida. It's summertime of the year 2009 and the strays are everywhere.
Everything seems peaceful, everything seems to be going well, when an epidemic breaks out. It started with one canine, foaming at the mouth. Rabies; the word spread like wildfire as more dogs fell ill to the disease. The pandemic spread, and canines began to fear for themselves.
A quarantine was set by the humans, every stray they could find caught and tested. Those that were negative for the virus were released, and those that were positive. The ones that had not shown the symptoms yet were promptly treated with the rabies vaccination, and those that were having the symptoms sadly had to be put down. Humans and canines alike both let out a breath of relief as things began to return to normal.
Was the epidemic finally over, or were the humans and canines feeling a false sense of security? Would the rabies vaccinations work in the infected dogs that had not shown any symptoms and been released, or would the infection flare up in them, starting the the terrifying cycle all over again?
