OOC: ok, so this may be kind of hard to follow, but since she is new here, I'm pretty much trying to put her thoughts out there mainly so others can see the 'real' her. The second part is her actual actions, so I apologize for any mix up.

Silence. Always has there been silence. Hardly ever has another crossed her path. Her voice is little used, lyrics most likely sounding dry and harsh like the surrounding scenery. This was much like the desert, hardly was there a difference. Yet, the bones, stunningly white, caressed the dead earth. This was a phenomenon she has never seen before. So many bones, pearly white, and absolutely huge.
Ah, home sweet home. A giggle escapes her softly as a butterfly like sensation tickles the depths of the cubs stomach. For some, crazed reason, she is ecstatic as she looks around at everything. This place, this barren, desolate bone yard, pathetic place brought her joy. Why it did such a thing was unknown to even herself. It was just the reminder that death was everywhere and the last moment with her mother, had looked something like this, with smaller bones of course. It was too bad for those who couldn't handle being deprived of food and water, but without it these pearly white skeletons scattered about, wouldn't look half as welcoming to her.
You see, Nikita is a completely screwed up little girl. She has been put through everything, and doesn't like it when others try to put themselves in her place. Their attempts at braggery are simplistic jokes to her. Her past is all she knows and she cherishes every moment she had with her mother, so death is all she knows, but she wishes to know nothing more at the moment. The pain that others may speak of that their past has caused them, is the reason that Nikita is still alive. She loves that pain, only because that's all she knows. Others can fear life and death situations, and those are what she lives for now. So why not? Why not taunt a predator? Because they might come after you? That's the fun part.
||A c t i o n s || S p e a k || L o u d e r || T h a n || W o r d s||
In the midst of this calamity, this desperate place, Nikita was finally home. She didn't want to wonder any longer. Paws placed firmly upon the sand, refusing to take another step. Green optics eyed every corner that came into view, letting nothing escape her view. The scent of lions was thick, yet where were they? The cub tilted her chin up towards the heavens, the sky covered in clouds that would just tease the thirsty and release no presperation. Tail flicked gently, not even a mouse could be seen. Forlegs pulled the hindlegs into motion, allowing her to move towards the shade.
She was deprived of everything. A family for one, then food and water, and sleep. She was going to take care of one of those things. She grabbed a small bone, well the smallest she could find and drug it into the shade. Breaking the freshly laid bone into two, she tilted the end up, sucking gently to allow the bone marrow to flow into her open jaws. It wouldn't satisfy her hunger or thirst, but it'd give her the essential minerals to make it one more day untill prey could be found.
Eyes closed softly, her thin frame lowering itself unvoluntarily to the earth. A large, yet silent, yawn escaped her as her head fell to the ground. It didn't take long for sleep to find it's way to her. It wasn't a heavy slumber, but just enough to take off the edge. It's just a slim fear that filled her, a fear that one would find her vunerable and take advantage. Then there was a sliver of hope, just a sliver, that one would find her and take her in... If that was possible.

(I don't know if liquid time is really allowed, but since Nia hasn't been on lately, I'll just say that this is after the other thread with Zuvan and Malka is safe and sleeping somewhere...don't know about what to do with Ari or Akira...meh)
Is it possible to have everything, even when an individual has next to nothing? How could that possibly make sense? Yet...that was what it felt like out here, alone in this desolate place he now called home. He was comfortable here for some strange reason, and he had no qualms about life or death, nor any desire to leave for a better land. He felt free. He could live the way he wanted, no restrictions, no rules, no one to bother him. Well, he wasn't really alone. Malka had somehow found him, whether on purpose or by random happenstance, Zuvan had yet to decide. It didn't bother him too much though, he was sure Malka would grow tired of this place or of his company or the lack thereof, and leave Zuvan to his own devices, and if not...he was only a cub.
Malka just happened to be curled up in a little ball underneath the ribcage of a gigantic elephant skeleton, the same place that Zuvan himself had occupied only a few scant hours before. Such is life. He was out again, looking for food or some other excuse to be out by himself. The black furred lion just kept walking, not truly paying any attention to where he was going, which was the beauty of it, he could get lost here and it wouldn't matter. Nobody came here anymore, since the hyenas had been accepted into the pridelands. There were a few exceptions, but no trouble...yet. Why would anyone want to come here anyway? There was nothing appealing whatsoever about this place, which was exactly why Zuvan found it so enticing.
He figured he was somewhere near the borders, not the Prideland border though...somewhere else. a little bit further on there should be a few stray weeds poking from the earth...not enough to sustain any prey on though, so he didn't bother to look. Instead, he meandered down a small slope, just for the thrill of...going down a slope. It broke up the monotony at least. Of course, that was where he paused, his nose turned to the sky for a scant second before lowering it to the ground. He smelled something...a lion. The big brute rolled his eyes 'Again?' Today was just filled with unexpected visitors. He might as well go give them a 'warm' welcome before showing them to the borders proper.
Zuvan trotted off, barely kicking up the dust that was close in color to his fur as he followed the scent, and lessened his pace as he sensed he was getting closer...he could go with a good fight, just for the sake of fighting, claws ripping into flesh, but all in good fun. He rounded a dirt pile to find...another cub. He let his jaw drop open. Why were cubs populating his territory? He shook his head, regaining his composure as his light mane flapped about his head. He relinquished his temporary hiding spot, wondering if this one feminine looking one had any relation to Malka, but the other cub hadn't mentioned anyone else, so he put it out of his mind. "What are you doing here?" He asked, stern and imposing, perhaps not unkind, but not friendly either. He didn't want to take in another cub...or perhaps he could get the two to explore together and get lost.

This place was filled with nothing. No breeze to swift the flys away from her face, no crickets to chirp a song, no water for frogs to splash in, nothing. Only the sound of her quiet breathing could be heard if one listened closely. She was in and out of sleep, barely hearing the other approach and not smelling him until it was to late.
What are you doing here?
The voice broke into her dreams, shattering any hope of peace and quiet. Groggy eyes blinked open, staring at the large lion before her. It took her a few moments for her eyes to adjust, that's when she saw the mane. This was a male, and that was not good. Male pride lions will eat unfamiliar cubs if they are not their offspring, will lone male lions? She did not know but she did know she needed to speak up soon. A stiffled yawn shook her entire skeleton, causing her to sneeze shortly after. Her voice sounded unused, almost scratchy. "Well, I'm not sure. What are you doing here?"
Seemed fair enough for her, a question for a question. He might not like that she was being quite sarcastic. It was just how she was. She wasn't frightened really, just frusturated. Why was he asking her questions when he is probably going to try to make her lunch? Why do they always have to do the small talk first? Quite frankly, she didn't understand it. So to make up for her sarcasm she planted an innocent smile upon her maw, showing her pearly whites. "Oh by the way, I'm Nikita. Who are you?"
She figured she might as well keep it short and sweet. Perhaps it will be harder for him to make lunch of a cub who he now knows the name of. Tail flicks contently, yet her composure is all fake. Inside she is tense, outside she is relaxed and carefree. Her mind is locked up, her soul chained to her insides, the keys for everything tossed away. Even if she wasn't made lunch, she will never trust another. She may act like it, play pretend to get something out of the deal. She's not greedy, she's just smart. Even at her age, she has some experience with other lions. She couldn't fight, but she could talk her way out of things. Plus, who wants to hurt a pretty little cub anyways.

"Well, I'm not sure. What are you doing here?"
It seems he awoke her from her slumber, poor thing, not that he cared one way or the other. He raised his eyebrows, slightly astounded by her audacity, not enough for it to matter. If he planned to eat her, he would have done so already.
"Oh by the way, I'm Nikita. Who are you?"
Zuvan groaned, which sounded dangerously close to a threatening growl as he said softly, as if to himself "Why do I bother?" before he lowered his head so he was down to her level and sneered as he continued, "Let me lay down your options, so we're clear. You either leave these lands and never come back, or you stay, in which you die." His eyes were as cold as his words, bitter enough to freeze the bleached bones in the elephant graveyard. He blatantly ignored her questions and gave her an ultimatum that she couldn't refuse.
It's not what his father would have done, nor his uncle. His uncle probably would have eaten the cub without giving it a chance, while his father would have done the opposite: welcomed her with open paws, made her a loving part of the pride. Zuvan knew he wasn't like either of them, for more reasons than just the differing decisions concerning a lost cub, and he was proud of himself for being different. Not the cruel horrible king his uncle was, nor the kind fool of his father. In truth, Zuvan couldn't really be compared to any other lion, because his priorities were vastly different. The idea of eating a cub, even if he was on the verge of death, was unappealing to him, where most other males wouldn't hesitate. A full grown lioness was a different story, but a cub? Perhaps he had just the slightest soft spot for the little ones. Still, he wanted his peace and quiet, and he would upkeep his threat of killing this little Nikita just to be certain she couldn't bother him in the future.

Why do I bother? It was a whisper in the wind as the male lion spoke in sincere frusturation.
Let me lay down your options, so we're clear. You either leave these lands and never come back, or you stay, in which you die Again, more frusturation was shown to the now confused cub. His voice was quiet similar to the blistering heat, yet the surrounding temporature held no cool breeze. Fire and ice. Nikita knew which option she would have to choose, and was quite glad to pick one, but didn't want to appear weak. Thus a cheeky smile formed upon her maw. I've never been given options before. Her eyes seemingly glazed over in a false attempt of deep thinking. I s'pose option numero uno would be best eh?
It wasn't mockery, as she kept her tone quite light and carefree. Yet as the lion's eyes seemed to fade from the present to past memories, she figured it was time to go. Just as it looked like the male was snapping back to the present, she grinned once more. See ya! A last attempt at bravery, then she took off. Her tail high in the air, mouth agape, and little legs pounding the earth with as much strength as she had. Silently she was cursing herself, knowing she was going to live a life of solitute her entire existence if his type was all that there was left.
OOC:: sorry so short again... felt the need to reply now, so I did... Didn't know what else to add in the post so yeahh. Sorry.
